What do you use for transferring SMS messages to PC from a Samsung i900 omnia mobile phone, which has windows mobile 6 as the operating system?

Regular software do not work in these types of phones, which have windows mobile.

1. MobileEdit does not have it on the menu although it says it examines it.

2. Cellebrite can not extract SMS messages from these type of phones yet.

So, what else can I go for?

Any help is appreciated.

You can try Paraben's Device Seizure software. It shows support for windows mobile phones. They have a 30 day/22 use trial version available on their website.

paraben.com/programs/demo.html

It says that you can only retieve 30mb of data with the trial software. You would still need to use a write blocker before hooking it up to a computer.

A write blocker may prohibit access to the phone when using Device Seizure, which is a "forensically safe tool".

Can you post more information about your phone such as service provider, communication protocol (GSM or CDMA, GSM uses a SIM Card).

When was the phone last turned on? Do you have a facility/mechanism to prevent RF signals such as a faraday cage/box/bag?

I had the same question as the OP.
I have a Verizon Omnia, Samsung. Looking to be able to recover texts at will. Is this software you recommended PC side only, or is there some install on the phone itself. Trying to find a program to watch dog a child's text messaging. So the ability to not have the program able to be tinkered with by the secondary user would be best.
I was wondering if Sprite software would do what i needed, or should I just stick with Paraben's Device Seizure software?
