How do you handle getting computers from remote locations?

Do you have a local contact do the image there at the location, or do you fly out?

Do you have them ship it to you? If so, how do you handle chain of custody?

Curious as to how others do it. I can do remote acquisitions, but that doesn't help if the computer has been shut off at the remote location unfortunately.

Here is my first post on this forum. Hopefully this answers your question.

We handle getting computers from remote locations by either:
- the client sending them to us.
- arriving on-site to either image the computer there or take the computer into custody.
- The client will ship it to us if concerned about costs. (On-site imaging is more expensive)
- As for CoC, whenever we receive a computer from a client we fill out a CoC if one hasn't already. If we show up on site and take any original media into our possession we fill out a chain of custody with the appropriate information.

hope this helps. Surprised
